American National is seeking a full-time (Monday-Friday) annuity unit supervisor (with or without annuity experience) at the Galveston, Texas campus.

  • Coordinates and supervises daily activities of assigned team members, implementing priorities and goals (Periodic objectives, key milestones, performance metrics, and standards)
  • Coaches, mentors, and trains team members
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and monitors work volume to ensure requests are processed within an appropriate timeframe
  • Manages auditing reports
  • Accountable for production results
  • Provides input on resource planning, policy development, and guidelines
  • Ensures overall guidelines and procedures are followed, adhering to both company and departmental standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years' work experience in a leadership, team-lead, training/mentoring capacity
  • Industry designations: LOMA, Certified Annuity Specialist (CAS)
  • Ability to learn quickly with the aptitude to navigate various computer programs simultaneously, on dual computer monitors, while utilizing the noted programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Interest in participating in Ascend (Internal development program) designed to enhance leadership skills
  • Comfortable with change, representing an agile and receptive attitude
  • Comfortable sharing ideas in a collaborative and respectful manner
  • Team player, always assessing how you may best support the department
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detailed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
