American National is seeking an entry-level Associate System Support Analyst for our Galveston office, that is interested in an opportunity to contribute on a highly collaborative, cross-functional team!

How you will make an impact

  • Partner with programming teams regarding system capability, conducting initial testing, and finalizing resolution for incoming service requests
  • Monitor arriving health administration inbox requests
  • Ensure both HIPAA and Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLBA) guidelines/restrictions are followed in relation to system data, continually staying apprised of legislation that could impact the department while maintaining compliance standards
  • Assist with the implementation of new products, ensuring system requirements for the products are understood by stakeholders, and connecting with various business users to define requirements
  • Implement necessary system tests and changes


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of relevant work experience 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) year completed degree program in (Business Administration, Communications, Computer Science, Management Information Systems)
  • Exposure to types of industry health products offered
  • Technically savvy, with proficiency in Office applications (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint)
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer programs simultaneously
    • Company laptop provided
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating in front of both small and large groups
  • Enjoy both an independent and highly collaborative work environment
    • With the ability to be self-sufficient, confident, and capable of utilizing all available resources
  • Familiarity with prioritizing tasks by urgency
  • Organized, self-driven, results-oriented, with a clear focus on quality and corporate objectives
  • Natural forward-thinker who utilizes critical analysis
  • Adaptable to changing processes and procedures, with the ability to assess and tailor accordingly
  • Interest to participate/pursue developmental courses that will enhance skills
