Corporate Analyst – Galveston, Texas


American National is seeking a highly motivated, team player who is seeking a corporate opportunity at an Agile, Collaborative and Engaging organization.  The Corporate Analyst is responsible for the preparation of management reports and presentations that will be used to assist in decision making and monitoring of progress towards corporate goals.


Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare recurring reports and presentations to be used by senior management and the Board
  • Analyze financial information and identify trends
  • Recommend standards for comparison against peers and the insurance industry
  • Coordinates monthly reporting for Subsidiary Board meetings
  • Assist with journal entry preparation – review and analyze data
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested by leadership


The most qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Foundational knowledge in accounting functions/practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work effectively independently or within a team environment
