Health System Support Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all year-end tax processing for the Health
    Division.
  • QicLink Support email box – process access request in
    accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Assist in insuring that system hardware, transmission,
    remote use and computer access security needs are
    met with Health Division personnel and Computing Staff
  • Run cut offs for our test and model office environments,
    provide support for users and handle on-call problems
    with nightly production cut off to insure that our system
    is operational by 6:00 am each work day.
  • Provide operations support for all QICLINK Claims Software system
    environments. This also requires providing daily support for our
    QICLINK user community as well as being on-call in order to provide
    support for the nightly production cut off.
  • Load claims support file data including MDR reasonable & customary procedure value
    data, Medco Health Rx drug claims.
  • Balance Medicare Billings for claims transactions with internal reports of
    such transactions and prepare the invoices for payment
  • Run QicLink system reports requested by user community based on the
    variable information provided by the user requesting the report.
  • Analyze CMS Medicare and HIPAA EDI data load output to insure all record counts
    match and no duplication of records load into any of our systems. This includes
    the responsibility of determining correction techniques where such errors do occur.
  • Develop an understanding of all of the complexities of the job streams associated
    with all QicLink environments and actually execute these jobs for claims and where
    applicable, administration cut offs.
  • Analyze the PDA download rejects to determine if they are due to a programming
    issue or user error and insure that the changes necessary to resolve the issue are
    made.

 

Qualifications:

  • A college degree, preferably in computer science, with programming training or an
    equivalent of three years of experience with proven software system function
    understanding and concepts.
  • A general understanding of all facets of health insurance operations, issue,
    administration and claims would be helpful
  • Must have a good general knowledge of and skill with Microsoft software including
    MS Word, Excel and MS Access.
  • Will be required to work with confidential information in capacity of systems security
    work and electronic health information.
