Contract Clerk

American National is seeking a full-time, Contract Clerk at our Galveston, Texas location.

How you will make an impact

  • Responsible for processing contracts, terminations, transfers, address changes and new agent licensing paperwork
  • Handle precontracting requirements, including running credit and background checks
  • Analyze contract files to ensure all requirements are completed timely and accurately
  • Effectively set up new agents for various marketing channels
  • Record daily transactions and produce required reporting
  • Other functions and projects as assigned by management


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential information


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior data entry, clerical and/or experience working in an office environment
  • Effective and organized multi-tasker, with the ability to focus when items require your undivided attention for review
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Passion to provide the highest quality of customer service to clients and internal customers
  • Aptitude to navigate various computer programs including Microsoft Office applications and internal systems
