Actuarial Analyst II


  • Performing and writing up complex rate analyses, preparing rate filing materials, exhibits, rate manual pages, and other data analyses and tasks as assigned
  • Continue to build his/her understanding and application of the actuarial principles involved in the pricing function and related analyses
  • Apply basic actuarial principles with growing confidence in more varied applications, while continuing the learning process, applying principles to reason his/her way through new and different applications, and to begin showing more independence in the rate review process and proposal



  • Completed 4 year degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum, one year of actuarial analysis experience, sufficient progress in understanding and applying basic actuarial principles
  • Completion of two CAS examinations, required 
  • Spreadsheet skills, database knowledge, and communication skills should be refined for application in an actuarial setting
  • Must have desire to progress in the Casualty Actuarial Society exams in accordance with the terms of the program
