Health Billing Supervisor

The Health Billing Supervisor oversees the daily productivity and processing of policy changes, renewals, and refunds and ensures company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are being followed with a customer-focused approach.

 

Responsibilities:

• Maintains proficiency and knowledge to perform the job duties by contributing to the team effort when necessary.

• Organizes, prioritizes and monitors the workload to ensure policy changes, renewals, and refunds are processed accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining frequent communication with insureds, policy holders, beneficiaries, and internal departments to manage expectations.

• Ensures team members understand their duties and performance expectations.

• Manages performance and provides recognition for progress and feedback for improvement.

• Provides annual performance evaluations and assists management in determining future goals.

• Provides training through monthly meetings, support, and coaching to team members on a consistent basis.

• Engages and assists with special projects and testing.

• Provides exceptional problem resolutions, status, and inquiry support to agents in a professional and positive manner with a customer-focused approach.

• Communicates Policy Change activities in meeting/training sessions.

• Engages in continuous process improvements.

• Manages employee attendance.

• Remains agile while monitoring daily reports and queues to identify shifts in volume and staffing resources to assist when required

 

Qualifications:

 • High school diploma or GED

• Minimum five or more years of work experience, preferably in the insurance or financial industry

• Associate degree preferred
