IT Asset Management Analyst II

American National is seeking a talented IT Asset Management Analyst II for our South Shore Harbour/League City, TX location. This position is the second level of the IT asset management job family, performing the intermediate functions for managing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets. This position will also understand and perform the duties of the IT asset management analyst I.

 

Functions:

  • Utilizes advanced knowledge of software licensing rights and provides recommendations for licensing strategies.
  • Trains others on asset management policies, procedures, guidelines, system use, and licensing methods.
  • Engages with internal and external auditors to provide information for audits.
  • Researches product use rights, licensing, and contractual entitlements for software.
  • Makes recommendations for purchasing and optimal expense management.
  • Periodically analyzes end user license agreements and determines our compliance position and makes recommendations.
  • Recommends improvements regarding asset processes/controls such as reporting, communication, training, and tools.
  • Provides peer training on asset management policies, procedures, guidelines, service management system use, and licensing methodologies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in an IT or finance-related field or equivalent job experience

Preferred Experience:

  • 4 or more years of current asset management, contracts and software experience
  • Software Asset Management (SAM) certification
