Insurance Sales Representative

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Professional for the Direct to Consumer Team within the American National Health Division. This position allows you the opportunity to work as a licensed in- house insurance agent in order to promote and sell the Supplemental Health, Medicare Supplement & Worksite portfolio we offer.  You will generate and work direct consumer leads in order to educate prospective clients about the product line, benefits and plan options, as well as the various programs that American National offers to our policy holders.

 

Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Work leads from various sources with urgency
  • Upsell current policy holders to promote and introduce new product offerings
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge on all company insurance products and their benefits
  • Understand and promote company programs
  • Maintain detailed records within company systems and database
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced phone sales environment

 
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales related position
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sales aptitude and persuasiveness
  • Insurance concept knowledge (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Excel and Outlook
