System Support Analyst

American National is seeking a Support Systems Analyst for our Specialty Markets Group at our League City, Texas location.  This position supports the Specialty Markets Group(SMG) through project management, software support,  systems output coordination, vendor billing, and payments and reporting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides control and coordination of  SMG Systems Administration projects.
  • Ensures that the systems output information reporting of SMG are met in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Loads data responsibly for EDI data being sent and/or received for all production environments.
  • Processes electronic data interchange (EDI) of numerous data files and performs comparative analyses of  amounts to reports of actual received transaction counts and amounts 
  • Runs cutoffs for the test and model office environments, provides support for users, and handles on-call problems.
  • Handles the general ledger transaction output analyses, testing and the Controller’s department coordination.
  • Logs user work requests for Corporate Technology Services application and development programmer code corrections and enhancements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or five years of experience with proven software system function understanding and concepts
  • One and a half years of experience in the Insurance Systems Administration 
  • Experience with Office 365 applications is a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and prioritize competing tasks
  • Previous experience working in the financial services and/or insurance industry
