Job Posting

American National seeks a Senior Manager of Financial Planning to play a critical role in leading, developing and implementing the corporate financial planning processes including Annual Planning, Strategic Business Planning, and interim forecasts. This position provides a collaborative partnership between Corporate Finance and the business units.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

•    Establish framework and guide business units to develop financial plans supporting overall Strategic Business Plan  
•    Consolidate enterprise plans including assumptions, P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow and key performance measures 
•    Partners with the business units to develop rolling forecast 
•    Enhance reporting processes to improve analysis turnaround times 
•    Identify trends and opportunities, and provide support intelligence to senior leaders
•    Ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to the rating agencies
•    Leads, develop and mentor team 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Bachelor's degree.
•    Eight to 10 years of experience.
•    Two to five years of supervisory/management experience.
•    Additional Qualifications:
o    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or actuarial
o    Minimum of seven to 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, insurance environment a plus
o    Exceptional communication and analytical skills
o    Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
o    Ability to multitask and has excellent organizational skills
o    Ability to supervise and lead a team
