Senior Vice President, Agencies Officer
The American National Multiple Lines Agencies Division is seeking a full-time strategic Senior Vice President to drive vision and direction for the exclusive agency distribution model. You will also be responsible for the development and execution of marketing initiatives across all channels that will directly contribute to overall company revenue goals, as well as product line profitability targets and financial milestones. To thrive in this position, you should have a strong sales leadership background, experience with multi-line products, and understand current agency field challenges and opportunities.
What will you do?
- Provide inclusive leadership focused on our values of financial strength, integrity, respect, service and teamwork
- Responsible for the development and execution of market and field strategies that include but are not limited to, recruiting, sales, field structure/compensation, as well as product line profitability targets and financial milestones
- Lead distribution strategies as well as explore new sources of business and channels
- Drive and execute innovative digital and data driven value based solutions focused on the field and clients
- Promote and maintain rapport with brokers, multiple line general agents, general agents, regional field executives, and client partners within the field
- Continually focus on developing strategies and approaches to meet goals for profitable growth, recruiting, multiple line sales, and enhanced productivity
- Collaborate and participate in senior leadership and board of director meetings
- Oversee compliance of current laws and regulatory decisions in relation to appointment processes, agent performance, termination processes, and the ethical performance of the field team(s)
- Ensure staffing, planning, budgeting, and organizational development are optimized to ensure revenue goals and profitable growth are achieved, along with coordination among distribution channels as new opportunities are prioritized and pursued
- Collaborate with key functional areas as the subject matter expert in relation to distribution, target markets, scalable business processes and modern technologies, ensuring we have effective value and service offerings for our clients and agents
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry related experience considered
- Direct involvement with analyzing agency compensation structures, recruiting methods, field organization, and leading transformational projects
- Industry related certifications/designations or willingness to obtain
- Professional industry sales leader who can effectively demonstrate that under their direction, team(s) have produced both organizational profit and productivity
- Field and agency experience is desired
- Multi-line product knowledge will be important with an emphasis on (Commercial and agriculture lines)
- Candidate selected must be available to work onsite at the Springfield, MO. or Glenmont, NY. campus. Relocation benefits will be considered accordingly.
- Must be available to travel
