Director, People Data & Analytics

The Director of People Data and Analytics is responsible for developing and growing a people analytics strategy for our organization. Manage a small data team to lead strategic analytics initiatives and solve essential business and HR challenges around attracting, developing, retaining, and motivating the best talent. Emphasize key issues such as predicting successful new hires, employee retention, and supporting company culture, engagement, and diversity and inclusion goals, objectives, and measures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide vision, leadership, growth, and development for members of the People Analytics team
  • Lead the development of an organizational people analytics strategy and road map (diversity/equity/inclusion, employee lifecycle management, and survey design/analysis), aligned with the organization’s culture and talent objectives
  • Partner with key stakeholders on people analytic strategy to ensure clarity, understanding and operationalization
  • Seek to understand the organization’s business goals, culture aspirations and people-related business problems and help to translate data and insights into meaningful visualizations and stories to drive strategy, action, and decision-making within HR and across the organization
  • Own the development, visualization, and presentation of our people analytics and related reporting requirements
  • Integrate multiple systems and data sets into single source data sets and make them usable for leverage across the business
  • Oversee data storage and security, monitor data quality, and work with HR and other functional areas in the business to ensure data integrity
  • Keep on top of changing requirements and practices to maintain ethical workforce data handling

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of applied experience and leadership in the people analytics space
  • Experience in establishing organizational vision and strategy for people analytics
  • Experience with change management in leading teams and partnering with stakeholders to operationalize strategy
  • Experience in developing and presenting people analytics visuals, stories and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Applied knowledge of diversity/equity/inclusion, employee lifecycle management, and survey design/analysis best practices, benchmarking, and KPI dashboards
  • Applied experience in hypothesis testing and interpreting statistical models that explain or predict outcomes related to a wide range of topics
  • Ability to perform complex SQL queries to merge, filter and transform data
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and languages that pull, transform, and provide data visualization, such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Visier, Domo
  • Ability to maneuver in a matrix environment, leverage indirect reporting resources, and work well in ambiguous situations; adaptable in the face of frequent context-switching
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of ethical data-handling and applicable employment laws
  • Experience with data mining and reporting in SAP-HR

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, applied math or related field
  • Master's degree a plus
