How you will make an impact:
The American National Human Resources Department is seeking a full-time, Executive Assistant team member to directly support the Senior Vice President, Human Resources Officer. To thrive in this position, the individual selected should have a background in producing and delivering presentations/reports, experience managing an email inbox with a high-level of confidentiality, and familiarity with a travel platform.
- Liaison for the Human Resources Department, providing ongoing support
- Schedule and organize meetings, travel, conferences, and departmental activities with a keen focus on detail, directing priority deadlines, providing updates on pending items that require attention, and extending follow-up
- Generate and design general correspondence, presentations, budgeting detail, memos, reports, and company business plans
- Reconcile credit card expense statements
- Facilitate and attend executive leadership and divisional meetings
- Anticipate issues that may arise and adjust as-needed
- Successfully handle sensitive and confidential information
Qualifications/Day-1, required skills:
- Professional level administrative support that includes key skills in travel coordination, email inbox/Outlook calendar management
- Technical proficiency in the noted programs: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule at the Galveston, TX. campus
Preferences:
- Two-year college degree
- Six years’ + relevant, C-suite level support experience
- Openness to advancing skills, learning new concepts, and ongoing development/feedback
- Thrive in a time sensitive and urgent work environment
- Organized, detail oriented, technically inclined, and a self-starter
