American National is looking for IT Expense Analysts/Financial Analysts to work with the Corporate Technology Services (CTS) Finance team to plan, organize, and coordinate the development and implementation of financial operations, processes, policies and procedures in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. You will aid in the financial, budgetary, forecasting, and accounting operations for CTS. 


What Will You Do?  

 

  • Handle day-to-day tasks of high complexity in assigned area(s), which may include planning, budgeting, tracking, reporting, and forecasting. 
  • Analyze and identify expense inconsistencies, variances, and trends in their assigned area(s). 
  • Maintain and enhance all primary, supplemental, and related documents, spreadsheets, databases, folders, and systems for their assigned areas(s). 
  • Provide accounting guidance, cost center or general ledger account assistance to the Budget & Expense Team.  
  • Manage, assess and address inquiries regarding invoicing or purchase orders to all business areas and vendors with CTS-related expenses. 
  • Collaborate with project managers on plans related to expenses associated with CTS resource allocations.  
  • Review hardware/software analysis and Asset Under Construction (AUC) monthly reporting of Fixed Assets. 
  • Areas of assignment could include one or more of the following: Contract renewals, expense reporting and budget variance analysis, project management, charge allocations, fixed assets, and other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:  

 

  • Bachelor's degree. 
  • Four to six years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience with SAP, BPC (SAP’s Excel add-on) and an in-depth understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). 
  • Proficiency in Excel. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience with Power BI. 
  • High attention to detail is required in all aspects to ensure proper allocation of IT spend to the general ledger. 
  • Proven time management skills are required.
