American National is seeking a SAP SuccessFactors System Administrator for the Galveston, TX location.  The SAP SuccessFactors System Administrator supports the company's people strategy, processes and tools, so leaders can identify, manage and develop their talent. This position is responsible for assisting in the configuration, maintenance, operations and ongoing administration of our SAP SuccessFactors system. Participate in research and development that enables continuing innovation in our systems and ensures that procedures adhere to organizational processes, policies and guidelines. Responsible for setting systems administration requirements, establishing governance processes, implementation, communication, and system security administration that support the company’s strategic objectives.



  • Responsible for supporting SuccessFactors across all modules including design and testing of enhancements and ongoing system maintenance, including the management and maintenance of foundational objects such as Job Profiles, Role Based Permissions and Workflow Groups
  • Partner with HR Leadership and other system administrators to configure, maintain, and operate the environment to reflect and communicate our business processes, and to manage our HR events
  • Partner with other internal colleagues as well as 3rd party vendors as needed for system maintenance and first line of support for systems issues; act as central point of contact in collating, trouble-shooting, resolving, and escalating issues
  • Gather and assess requirements for system changes and reporting requirements and raising configuration requests
  • Perform quality assurance checks on system configuration and workflows
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability the system
  • Configuring and maintaining reporting tools including SF dashboards, analytics, online & ad-hoc reporting, and SAP HR reports
  • Part of the operational project team for all new relevant HR system implementations, including providing input and assistance with configuration and development, process mapping & tasks, system testing, system readiness, and training and change management as required.




  • 5 Years professional experience with a minimum of 2 years working in the SAP SuccessFactors environment
  • Experience with system configuration, development, and testing required
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized with good attention to detail
  • Ability to build rapport, persuade, and influence others
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Must have a high degree of comfort with technology and reporting; advanced computer skills with high proficiency in Excel (especially V-lookups, pivot tables)
