Senior Corporate Communications Coordinator

American National is seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Coordinator for our Galveston, TX location.  This role will develop and execute a corporate communication strategy to ensure that a strong corporate image is promoted and communications are delivered in a consistent and positive manner. The goal is to strengthen the brand of American National.  The individual in this role will coordinate communication of American National to other organizations, promoting the positive efforts and results of American National.  



  • Creates, reviews and revises corporate press releases
  • Creates presentations for leadership sessions
  • Develops important pieces, such as the annual corporate overview.
  • Works with strategy and marketing partners to communicate key corporate information
  • Supports senior management in goals to strengthen corporate brand awareness
  • Updates Connect and internet pages, as needed
  • Works with brand managers to ensure brand protection
  • Works with legal counsel to protect trademarks and brand usage



  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism or experience in related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate communications preferred
  • Excellent project management skills to direct multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; specifically in Word and PowerPoint
  • Understand business and financial information related to company activities
  • Self-motivated and professional
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively in an independent or team environment
