Sr Multi-media Communications Specialist

American National is seeking an experienced Multi-media Communications Specialist for our Galveston, TX location.  We’re looking for a highly organized and creative writer/producer to join our Employee Communications team. Ideal candidate must be curious and have a passion for storytelling, covering a variety of company and employee stories and profiles through a combination of text, photography, video and digital media. Candidate will be responsible for writing, producing and editing editorial content, under the direction of the employee communications manager, and collaborating with a dynamic team to create employee stories, spotlight our culture and inform and engage employees.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write copy and scripts for original and branded content
  • Write digital stories and broadcast on digital platforms, web and intranet for maximum reach and employee engagement
  • Continually brainstorm and develop new video series and story ideas, ensuring consistency across all editorial content
  • Oversee video projects from inception to completion, including conceptualizing, writing and managing editorial, graphics production, music and sound design
  • Develop and foster working relationships with team and internal clients
  • Work closely with employee communications manager to uphold the standards of the AN brand
  • Interact with and interview company executives and employees
  • Continually improve efficiency and enforce the production process
  • Ensure all productions are wrapped in a timely manner

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five or more years of experience.
  • Adobe Photoshop and Premiere a must, After Effects preferred
  • Competent video editor with a focus on both video and narrative
  • A great storyteller - can exhibit highly conceptual thinking and writing skills
  • Experience in newsgathering and/or production
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with immediate deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to take direction well, but also motivated and capable of handling a project from start to finish
  • Some experience in creating content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram desirable
