As an Auditor at American National you will be a part of an audit team responsible for complex financial, operational, and compliance audits and provide meaningful observations, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement. What Will You Do?
•    Performs financial, operational, and compliance audits of business units, external agencies, and vendors, which includes: executing the audit work program, and performing analytical, transactional, and control testing.
•    Prepares neat and organized work papers that support observations and conclusions and conform with professional standards.
•    Supports the annual financial statement audit and the annual audit of internal control over financial reporting by completing transaction and/or control test work on behalf of the external auditor.
•    Aids the company’s annual assessment of internal control over financial reporting by completing control test work and communicating results and deficiencies to management.
•    Analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data, policies, and procedures to effectively perform audit work.
•    Communicates (in writing and orally) with auditees, management, and peers.
•    Uses numerous systems including accounting software, billing systems, policy administration systems, imaging systems, claim systems, and standard Microsoft products.
•    Conducts interviews with auditees up to low-level management and reads policies and procedures with the purpose of gaining an understanding of business processes and internal controls.
•    Maintains a high level of professionalism and promotes our agility, collaboration, and engagement (ACE) culture. 
 

 

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree
•    One to four years of relevant accounting or auditing experience. 
 

 

 

 

Salary for this position can range from $55,000 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $70,000 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
