Lead Quality Assurance Specialist
American National is hiring a Lead Quality & Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. In this role you will support our P&C Claims Operations by leading audits to specific guidelines established for quality assurance, verification and validation of policies and procedures for claims. You will lead efforts to support the quality management systems involving P&C Validation, regulatory activity, material financial activity, and to support the enterprise risk management processes. You will have a direct impact on the client experience by actively identifying, analyzing and recommending improvements focused on service and operational compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to maintain compliance and technical quality according to operational guidelines and internal processes
• Identify coverage and/or liability issues as well as discrepancies and inaccuracies within claim files
• Investigate variances in claim payments to ensure financial stability and profitable growth
• Communicate business results with peers and/or senior leadership
• Validate complex total and large loss evaluation accuracy
• Provide training to lower-level employees and/or other areas, as well as management when technical expertise is needed
• Develop, monitor, and/or modify procedures and processes with an eye towards continual improvement
• Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate audit plans, validations, and results to leadership
• Lead collaborative efforts with business partners on actionable items to improve compliance, quality, and customer service
• Mentor fellow members of the team with their projects and responsibilities
What You'll Need
• Three or more years of liability claim experience involving injury and property damage claims
• Relevant technical work experience with various policy types including Homeowners, BOP, CGL, CPP and SFP
• Working knowledge of estimating programs and Guidewire claim system preferred
• Eight to Ten years of experience in insurance industry, preferably within Claims and/or Quality Assurance
• Deep understanding of regulatory process, Quality Assurance, familiarity with basics surrounding financial controls and principles pertaining to enterprise risk management
• Industry certification preferred, but not required (CPCU, AIDA, ARC, etc.)
Salary for this position can range from $73612.50 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $110409.00 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
