Senior Claims Specialist

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional claim handling for auto injury claims and requires a professional with a strong background in the insurance industry. This role will be remote for any candidates not local to an American National office.

 

What You’ll Do


•    Investigate and evaluate auto injury claims to determine liability and settlement value.
•    Negotiate settlements with claimants or their attorneys in a timely and fair manner.
•    Collaborate with medical experts, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to resolve complex claims.
•    Provide guidance and support to junior claims handlers and other team members.
•    Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures.

 

What You’ll Need


•    Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) preferred.
•    Minimum of 3 years' experience in auto injury claims handling, with a proven track record of resolving complex claims.
•    Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
•    Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•    Currently hold an active state adjuster license or obtain following date of hire (American National will incur all fees associated/No out of pocket expenses)

 

 

 

Salary for this position can range from $58,000.00 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $72,000.00 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
