American National is hiring a full-time, SAFe Agile transformation coach.  You will drive results through intentional and ad-hoc coaching, custom trainings, and shadowing teams to identify training opportunities. In addition, you will actively promote the adoption and implementation of SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices. To thrive in the position, you will be an adaptable communicator who has actively coached various levels of teams, with relevant large-scale agile transformation knowledge, an in-depth understanding of SAFe practices, and SPC certified.
 
Onsite Placement Location:  League City, Texas
 
What will you do:
Facilitate and promote the agile transformation process, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to optimize team performance
Partner with the ART’s C-Suite, and teams, to mature agile mindset, practices, and ceremonies
Coach key roles to achieve business results, supporting the improvement of predictability, productivity, quality, and flow
Guide efforts to bring transparency across the organization, including fostering psychological safety to enable self-managing teams, team empowerment, and continuous learning
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement, team efficiency, and overall performance
Perform team coaching at product and portfolio levels with a systemic approach to maximize learning, self-organization, performance, and sense of accountability, focusing on teams' capability to define and refine their agile processes and frameworks
Create an environment of collaboration among teams that advocates for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflict, addressing roadblocks, and challenges
Assist teams and other agile coaches in defining clear goals, maintaining a prioritized backlog, and ensuring work aligns with business objectives
Facilitates, observes, and coaches during agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to enhance team collaboration and communications
Support the LACE and Communities of Practice 


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Relevant work experience related to coaching and leading teams, change initiatives, continuous improvement, project management, and demonstrated ability to move large-scale agile transformations within organizations
Proven experience as an Agile transformation coach, release train engineer, or similar role in agile transformation
In-depth understanding of scaled agile methodologies and their practical application
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence change and collaborate with teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Familiarity with various agile tools and practices for project management, tracking, and reporting
Hold one of the following designations, in active pursuit of, or willingness to obtain, with a six-month period from date of hire; SPC6 or SPC5
