Director, Investment Accounting

American National is seeking a full-time Director of Investment Accounting to effectively lead team members, originate/administrate the investment accounting process for portfolios, be the front-line stock and bond close coordinator, and primary custodial contact. To thrive in this position, you should have your degree in accounting or finance, successfully led teams, and have investment/financial reporting experience.
 

Onsite Placement Locations: Houston, League City, and Galveston Texas

 

How you will make an impact:

  • Oversee team members and daily business operations
  • Manage the CAMRA accounting system and related procedural workflows to ensure consistent processes and accurate records are reflected in all investment accounts, positions, security pricing, capital transactions, securities reorganizations, composite memberships, and performance calculations
  • Direct the trade order management system and related procedural workflows to ensure consistent processes and accurate records are reflected in trade orders, trade allocations, trade restrictions, and communication with brokers
  • Safeguard compliance by actively maintaining policies and procedures 
  • Ensure the integrity of system data to provide correct recurring and ad-hoc reporting deliverables to both internal and external clients
  • Serve as the key operational liaison to all custodians, executing brokers, third party administrators, and related vendors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through self-initiated professional development

 

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance 
•    Demonstrated leadership achievement in the financial services industry
•    Investment / Financial reporting expertise

Salary for this position can range from $102,000 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $128,000 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
