The Infrastructure Architect will play a pivotal role in the Enterprise Architecture team by modernizing existing technologies, aligning infrastructure strategies and roadmaps with business goals, and collaborating with various teams and vendors to design a resilient, scalable, and forward-looking infrastructure architecture. This role involves crafting strategies, defining standards, guiding principles, and best practices, and ensuring a cohesive and effective infrastructure across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive strategies and roadmaps for the organization’s IT infrastructure aligned with business goals and objectives to maximize value, enhance performance, and minimize risk.
• Analyze and optimize existing infrastructure technologies, leading efforts towards modernization.
• Collaborate with IT (Infrastructure Operations, Application Development, Information Security, Data, and Cloud) and business teams, as well as vendors, to design and review infrastructure architecture to provide the best fit for business needs.
• Define standards, guiding principles, and best practices for infrastructure architecture and ensure their implementation across the organization.
• Lead infrastructure architectural reviews, participate in decision-making processes, and act as a mentor to junior team members.
• Integrate security measures and risk management strategies into the infrastructure architecture.
• Stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies, vendors, and solutions to facilitate enterprise advancement.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of compute, storage, and networking architectures.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architect to define connectivity/integration between on-premise and cloud platforms.
• Leverage ServiceNow platform and its capabilities to manage and automate IT infrastructure tasks.
• Have working knowledge of DevSecOps platforms and tools, including IaC and containerization, to help build resilient and scalable solutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Good experience with Windows Servers, Linux, IBM (AS400 iSeries, Z, Power servers), Cisco networking, and storage technologies.
• Proven track record of data center modernization, security integration, and risk management. Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with the ServiceNow platform, including designing and implementing workflows for IT infrastructure management.
• Forward-thinking and innovative, with a keen eye for new technologies, vendors, and solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and align strategies for a cohesive roadmap.
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile methodology is a plus.
• Professional certifications like Azure or AWS Architect or similar are advantageous.
