The Account Representative will be responsible for providing qualified retirement plan administration to fee for service clients.

 

What you will do:

  • Prepare qualified plan documents and amendments in accordance with intent of plan sponsor, as well as any related participant communication and disclosures.  Document must be in compliance with Internal Revenue Code and Regulations
  • Responsible for inputting plan data into the Relius Administration system, which includes the interpretation of the plan document.
  • Responsible for setting up website access, which includes setting up the plan for the Plan Sponsor Web’s Data Validation Center
  • Under supervision, prepare valuation reports (including determination of employee eligibility, reconciliation of salary deferral contributions, calculation/allocations of pro-rata employer contributions/forfeitures) for plans requiring minimal testing and /or staying within a “safe harbor” framework.
  • Under supervision, responsible for the completion of the annual governmental filing as required by the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor
  • Under supervision, responsible for communication with plan sponsors and/or agents concerning understanding of plan document provisions, administration of the plan and the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor regulations as they relate to the operation of the plan.
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of pension administration software which includes following department procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting with department projects as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Up to two years of qualified plan administration experience (or equivalent experience)
  • Must complete the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) IRP and RPF within three years of employment.
  • Strong aptitude for customer service
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound mathematical background and computer skills
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions.
