Sr Support Specialist 

American National is seeking a full-time Sr Support Specialist for our Health Claims team! As a Sr Support Specialist, you will provide direct assistance to employees and management to ensure all communication, documents, administrative tasks and processes related to the business area all run as efficiently as possible. Responsibilities 

  • Review, update, and maintain QicLink Claim Processing System data tables (includes, but not limited to CPT, HCPCS, and Diagnosis Codes, R&C and RBRVS tables, other Miscellaneous Maintenance programs). 
  • Review and update QicLink Claim Processing System EM Fatal plan rejects and be able to recognize any Production load issues causing the plans to reject.  Must be understand all associated programs that are part of the load process.
  • Review system generated claim reports for any processing issues and report problems & suggestions to for better handling. Must have a basic understanding of how claims received, route, and adjudicate to better suggest enhancements
  • Review QicLink Claim Processing programs and thoroughly test outlined requirements after new releases installed or other program changes that might affect integrity of claim handling and system functionality.
  • Maintain Customer Service application and handle reported issues.
  • Update and develop written procedures for any new requirements based on responsibilities.

 

Qualifications 

  • High School diploma or a GED required, Associates degree preferred
  • 2 years of administrative or related experience, or the equivalent insurance industry experience 
  • QicLink System knowledge and claims processing experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of IH or GRP or MS plans, claim handling and Microsoft applications (Excel and Word)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Must have a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality 
  • Must have strong time management skills
