American National is hiring a General Homeowners Claims Adjuster to join our team in Springfield, MO. This is an on-site desk adjusting role. As a General Homeowners Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims related to residential properties. Your role involves assessing damage to homes, determining the extent liability, and negotiating settlements with policyholders. You will work closely with homeowners, contractors, and other professionals to ensure fair and timely resolution of claims. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
What You’ll Do
• Conduct thorough investigations of property damage claims from the Springfield, MO office.
• Evaluate the extent of damage and determine coverage under the policy.
• Communicate with policyholders, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings.
• Negotiate settlements and authorize payment within established limits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to policyholders throughout the claims process.
What You’ll Need
• A minimum of two years’ experience in claims adjusting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
• Currently hold an appropriate state adjuster license or obtain following date of hire (American National will incur fees associated / No out of pocket expenses).
