Management Systems Consultant


American National is seeking an innovative and resourceful consultant who can help expand business intelligence aptitudes and deliver data-driven insights that supports business operations.

How you will make an impact:

  • Find hidden opportunities within rich data sets to continue to transform a clients’ claim experience with American National.
  • Develop and enhance the acquisition, analysis and delivery of actionable information to help executives, managers and team members make fact-based business decisions. 
  • Collect data from systems and external resources, prepare it for analysis, run queries against data, create visualizations and dashboards to support operational decision-making and planning.
  • Build partnerships through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enhance documentation of reports, data dictionaries and reference documents.
  • Coach, mentor and assist others in developing understanding of how to gather data, run queries and support delivery of information to help business areas.


The most qualified candidate will possible the following education, experience, skills, and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related business experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply learning in new situations, quickly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated skill in data analysis & problem solving across multiple data sources
  • Deep understanding of Excel, Access.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Power Query, Ultraquest, Cognos, SSRS programs, Microcall, Sequel Server Management, Microsoft Power Automate, Visual Studio, ArcGIS formats.
  • Familiarity with implications surrounding cybersecurity and approaches to manage and reduce cybersecurity risk within infrastructure.
  • Ability to conduct data extract from various systems and translate into understandable usable reports.
  • Proficiency in designing and building reports for business areas, Pivot charts, tables, etc.
  • Familiarity with statistics.
  • Familiarity with concepts surrounding neural networks, predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with data visualization techniques.
