Supervisor, Associate Underwriting

What Will You Do?

 

  • Manage and coordinate daily underwriting operations: hiring and onboarding employees, scheduling, training, mentoring, and development
  • Work with team members to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
  • Lead and monitor team member productivity to ensure excellent service is provided to American National agents and policyholders
  • Perform periodic quality assurance reviews and monitor internal controls to maintain compliance
  • Assume responsibility for the daily operation of an assigned team of associate underwriters and underwriting support staff

 

Required Skills

 

To be qualified for this role you must have at least 1 – 2 years of experience working in the insurance industry, and an Associate’s Degree in business or a related field. Work experience as an Associate Underwriter, Lead Associate Underwriter, or Associate Underwriter Trainer would be beneficial, but is not required. You should have proven leadership skills and a passion for continuing education.

 

 

 

Salary for this position can range from $59221.50 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $88822.50 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
