American National is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst III to join our team! This position is responsible for the development and testing of software related to our Property and Casualty Claims Administration System.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate as a software developer on projects as assigned involving Guidewire configuration and development
  • Work with internal customers to design, develop make program and or configuration changes
  • Program Guidewire UI and Rules and/or integration development utilizing Guidewire ClaimCenter
  • Unit testing and debugging
  • Relational database design
  • Update technical documents as required

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in computer information systems or engineering focused on software development
  • 0 - 5 years of development experience working in the insurance and/or financial industry
  • Highly motivated and ambitious, excellent communication skills, creative & critical thinker
  • Continual learning and improvement in the understanding of software capabilities and programming languages is essential
  • Strong skills associated with the design, development, modification, and deployment of software based on object-oriented programming concepts
  • Strong J2EE, XML, SQL, or other object-oriented programming language knowledge and experience
  • Experience implementing web services and APIs
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of SQL Server Database
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter is preferred
